The inspiration piece I chose wasn't done by one artist. It was made by a company called Universal Everything. They made an animation called walking city and its gotten very popular. Universal Everything is a digital art practice and design studio in Sheffield, England. The studio was founded in 2004 by Matt Pyke who is also the creative director, he studied botanical and technical illustration then graphic design before spending eight years at the Designers Republic (1996-2004). I chose this animation walking city as my inspiration because I love animation and when I grow up I want to become an animator. One of the reasons why I took this class was because I wanted to make better clay people and animals when I do claymation, and also for inspiration. But I found it very interesting that 3d animation actually counts as sculpture. Would like to learn more on how sculpture and animation and how they can work together.
