For this assignment we had to pick a stock photo and draw the picture in full color to practice working in layers in prismacolor. While drawing this I had more fun drawing the leaves than the seeds. The seeds were a little tedious and I was getting frustrated at this drawing especially since I couldn't see every detail and every color because the stock photo wasn't the best quality. But I got over that and used some artistic licence to complete the assignment.

For this mini project we practiced shading with a white prismacolor pencil by making a value scale and drawing a strip of paper.
While working on this project I had some difficulty I'm a bit of a perfectionist so I kept drawing and then reinstating the lines that I drew until I was satisfied.
For this assignment we had to draw four different drawings to test out our current skills. We might do this assignment later again in the year to see how far we've progressed.
For this assignment we worked on perspective. We had to follow videos step by step for practice. For one point perspective ives already had practice with this one, the mistakes i've made here would be making the furniture too big and not being able to fit anything else in that area and having perspective lines slightly off. For the 2 and 3 point perspective
Drawing in two point perspective was a little new for me but I think I understood its use just fine. For this assignment we shaded in a value chart using b and h pencils. the goal was to make the squares gradually darker. After that we learned how to shade certain shapes and then we drew the small still life that was at our table.
For this assignment we had to shade a piece of cloth so I draped a piece of cloth on the back of a chair and fixed the light sources so that it would stay consistent when I needed to go back to work on it some more. I have done something like this once before and it still took me the same amount of time to complete this one as it did to complete the other and I think that's just because I need to do more studies of objects and get used to it. So ill be sure to do more things like tis in the future. For this assignment we did a modified contour drawing of a book bag. the hardest part of this drawing was the zipper area to the far right, there were lots of complex shapes in that area. I feel like with assignments like this doing a practice run before hand defiantly helps because it lets me tackle the piece in a different way when I go to work in the final.
For this assignment we practiced blind contour line drawing. One of the problem I struggled with was making the drawings hand sized, I was drawing too quick and they ended up looking too large but that was solved when I switched to a smaller sketch book and gave myself less room to work with.
