So this week I was brainstorming project ideas and writing out the story for my over all project and the struggles that my character will face. The experiences they have with depression are my own but I'm telling the story through another character to maybe let the audience relate to them instead of it all just being about me. Also it would just make me more comfortable to express my thoughts and feelings.
And on these pages I completely plan out the outline of my story along with some extra character stuff that I might want to explore. For example the main character using writing as a source of happiness and how that part of her life is completely taking over her identity and being unable to take criticism to her writing because she feels like its a criticism to herself. In this story the main character will be struggling with balance of doing what she loves and taking care of her responsibility, and its all thrown out of wack because of her depression. and instead of expressing how everything makes her feel she isolates herself and continues writing.
And these are thumbnails for a sgraffito project, the intro to their story where we see the conflict of having to work harder now that her family is smaller, and a reoccurring element in my pieces will be shadowy figures and or any type of media.
